Group CEO, Jonas Software UK & Europe
Darrell joined the Jonas Group in 2010 as part of the early stage growth plan for Jonas UK & Europe via acquisition of the Xn Leisure brand, where he was already in place as Managing Director. Taking on more responsibility as the estate grew, Darrell worked through the ranks as Group Leader, Portfolio Manager and in 2022 became Group CEO for Jonas UK & Europe, with a Nordic territory focus.
Darrell’s long history in the software industry spans two decades, having served as a director of many businesses, both large and small. He has always had an affinity for sales process and management, using that drive and focus on consistency and metrics as a foundation for his career.
Darrell heads up the Jonas UK & Europe portfolio, an eclectic mix of software brands in various sectors, including: leisure, metals, police forensics, Direct Debit payments, central Government systems, auctions and marinas. Darrell is known for his passion and investment in his employees and promoting from within wherever possible, with a team ethos of: “We’re in IT together: we win together, we fail together, learning as we grow.”
Chief Investment Officer
Kevin’s early career saw him specialise in cross-border tech audits with RSM, living and working both in the UK and the USA. As a qualified accountant, Kevin first met the Constellation group in 2008 as the audit manager for one of Constellation’s first UK acquisitions, Trapeze Software. When Jonas then entered the UK with the desire to build out a UK finance shared services team, Kevin joined in the early days (2012) to help shape and build the team. By the time Kevin moved into an operational role in 2016, the finance team had grown to over 25 people and integrated almost twenty acquisitions.
Kevin’s first move into operational management was as General Manager and then Managing Director of London & Zurich, a Bacs specialist provider of Direct Debit services. From there, his estate grew as he developed his software experience and skills, adding brands like PCI Systems, Havenstar and Paygate.
Today, Kevin’s role is solely focused on supporting the Hubble Investments team in sourcing and acquiring the next generation of vertical market software leaders to add to the growing portfolio. Day to day this incorporates lead sourcing, conducting due diligence and post acquisition integration of new additions to the growing portfolio. Kevin is always keen to encourage and embrace change, truly believing that: “The only constant in our business is change.”
Group CFO, Jonas Software UK & Europe
Martin is a CIMA qualified accountant with over 13 years post-qualification experience who joined Jonas in 2021 as Finance Director for the UK & Europe portfolio. Prior to Jonas he spent 16 years at Capita Plc where he held various senior roles before moving into Finance Transformation.
He spent 2 years living and working in India with his family, developing the shared service function on a complex transformation programme, standardising and automating processes and systems across a large finance organisation. As Group CFO he works alongside his team providing a broad range of finance, tax, payroll, commercial and statutory compliance support for all the businesses. He is always looking for opportunities to challenge the norm, creating a mindset of continuous improvement across finance and constantly striving for better.
Group Chief Information Office & Compliance Manager Chair Jonas Foundation
Having achieved an honours degree in Business and Finance, David’s career path started in manufacturing by assisting and then running a business change project to implement a bespoke SOP and MRP solution. From there his career followed a course in IT, primarily focused on change, upskilling teams and building for growth, which included managing Network, Desktop, Infrastructure, Database and Development teams in the engineering, logistics, procurement and Leisure sectors.
David Joined Jonas in January 2013 as IT Director for Xn Leisure, then succeeding Darrell Boxall as Managing Director in May 2016 before taking on the current role in August 2019.
In 2022 the Jonas Foundation was formed and in January 2023 David became Chair of the Foundation.
David is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of The Chartered Management Institute.
Group Director, Jonas Software UK & Europe
Tom joined Jonas in 2010 as a Sales Manager, when Gladstone Software became the first UK acquisition. Harnessing the opportunities that being part of Jonas created, Tom progressed to Managing Director of Gladstone, before moving on to Group Leader, where he now works with the founders and leaders to drive the performance of multiple companies within the group.
With over 20 years’ experience in supplying software for the sports and leisure sector, Tom became a strong advocate for using software as an enabler to get more people active, in turn increasing the value of the sector as a whole. He remains an active member of the Open Active Steering Committee and the UKActive Digital Futures project, continuing to help shape, influence and drive the digitalisation of the sports and leisure sector.
As a Group Leader within Jonas, Tom works with founders and leaders of businesses of varying sizes across multiple sectors. Tom combines this with his experience running great software businesses to help skilled business leaders identify and deliver on growth opportunities, where great software can enhance the sectors they serve. A particular highlight for Tom is working with new companies joining the group; taking successful brands and passionate employees and working with them to elevate their future, both individually and as businesses.
Group Director, Jonas Software UK & Europe
Having gained an engineering degree, Peter started his career in the Aerospace industry ultimately covering sales in UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East whilst living in the UK after moving with his family from the US to lead Sales & Marketing at the Boeing Airplane company.
In 2016, Peter joined a start-up software company, Tucasi, as Managing Director, which then became part of Jonas in the same year following its acquisition, kickstarting Jonas UK’s growth into the Education Software vertical market. In addition to managing Tucasi, Peter worked with other Jonas businesses to identify and implement areas that would dramatically improve their overall performance. He also assisted newly acquired businesses and leaders through the integration process following acquisition by Jonas.
Now as a Group Leader, Peter leads a group of businesses again with particular focus upon people and business development, performance and growth. In addition, Peter spends time talking with business owners, drawing on his own Jonas acquisition experience, to explain how joining Jonas can help those businesses realise their full potential whilst maintaining the brand identity they have created.

Claire joined Jonas’ Leisure vertical in 2011, when TRP was acquired into the group. The Jonas acquisition created the opportunity for North American expansion, and Claire subsequently spent 5 years in New York heading up this effort and overseeing the integration of a second business in the same space before moving back to the UK to ultimately lead Gladstone. A move to Group Leader created a focus in the Nordics and the energy space, where Claire now works with business leaders to deliver great software and drive business performance. A strong believer in identifying and delivering on growth and investment opportunities to drive results, Claire is incredibly passionate about people and believes strongly that personal development at all levels underpins commercial success.
Group Leader, Jonas Software UK & Europe
Steve joined Jonas in 2012 as UK Finance Director and over the following five years led the finance team through a period of significant growth and the integration of over fifteen businesses into the Jonas group of companies. In 2017 Steve switched roles and became General Manager of Cunninghams Epos Group with a focus on providing software solutions to the Retail and Hospitality sectors. Since then, he has taken on more responsibility becoming CEO of Jonas Fintech in 2020, focussed on providing fintech and payment solutions to its customer base. More recently Steve moved into a Group Leader role, responsible for a group of businesses, with a focus on growth, employee development and wellbeing, and expanding his portfolio.
Steve is a qualified accountant and prior to joining Jonas held a number of senior finance positions within organisations across a range of sectors.
Head Of People & Culture, Jonas Software UK & Europe
Laureen joined Jonas in January 2023 and has previous experience working in the Retail, Hospitality, Education and Public Sectors. She is passionate about people and culture and driven by quality and integrity. During her time at Jonas, we have transitioned from an HR shared service to a team that focuses on the total employee experience, supporting learning and development opportunities and building career pathways.
