Darrell has a long history in the software industry spanning two decades, having served as a director of many businesses, both large and small. He’s worked at one of the world’s largest retail technology companies and led small teams to tremendous success in the niche software businesses. He has always had an affinity for sales process and management, using that drive and focus on consistency & metrics as a foundation for his career. He joined Jonas in 2010, as part of the early stage growth plan for Jonas UK, via acquisition of the Xn Leisure brand where he was already in place as Managing Director. Now, Darrell is operating as a senior executive at Jonas UK following many successes doing turnarounds, coaching and deploying capital. His portfolio includes an eclectic mix of software brands in various sectors to include: Leisure, Metals, Hairdressing, Direct Debit payments and Marinas. Darrell is known within the group for returning impressive profitability with low customer attrition and high staff retention. He has a team ethos of “We’re in IT together: We win together, we fail together, learning as we grow."

Sam strives to use his extensive experience in Strategic Planning, Leadership, Business Development, Enterprise Level Account Management, and now Merges and Acquisitions, to support companies taking their next step in their business lifecycle. Bridging the gap between vendor and acquirer to ensure a smooth process and transition into the Jonas Family. Sebastian Quarterman

M&A Manager | Jonas UK & Europe

Sebastian joined Jonas in 2017, having spent the previous 10 years working across various finance positions in various industries. Starting his career as an Accounts Assistant, he worked his way up through the ranks working in various industries such as retail, construction and merchanting, for both SME’s and PLC’s. This experience of working in different areas of finance for both big and small companies gives him a rounded finance background and a good insight into the culture and challenges different businesses face, together with an understanding of how diverse teams operate. Having spent the 3 years prior to joining Jonas as Finance Business Partner for a £200m division of a UK PLC, he decided to move into M&A due to the excitement involved in completing deals for both the purchaser and the seller. He is responsible for all phases of deal execution, including gathering data and creating financial models, suggesting deal value and structure, managing and assisting in the financial and legal process, and the overall M&A strategy for the UK & Europe region.

Deanna Surman

Head of Human Resources | Jonas Group UK & Europe

Deanna is Head of Human Resources for the Jonas UK and European division and joined Jonas when the group acquired UK AIM, listed as Gladstone PLC, in 2010. Deanna works closely with the leadership team to provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance at all levels, and in all areas of people management, performance, and culture whilst contributing to our business units’ collective success. Although Deanna has held a variety of roles across the full spectrum of Human Resources gained in various industries, she has a strong passion to enable a culture of continuous learning and development through programmes such as our highly acclaimed Jonas Talent Development Programme that empowers our employees to learn and grow, and our business to constantly evolve and develop. Deanna is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Scott Saklad

Group CEO | Jonas Software UK & Europe

Scott’s career in the software industry began over 20 years ago at Computrition, which became Jonas’ first Foodservice brand in 2007. Since then, he has been responsible for acquiring, building, and managing several businesses within the Jonas operating group. After helping to add and oversee brands in the US, Scott moved to the UK to manage and integrate the acquisition of Gladstone plc and has since worked on adding a number of brands in new and existing verticals. As Group CEO, Scott spends a portion of his time working to coach and develop his team, assisting them in whatever it takes to deliver the highest quality products & services to their clients. The rest of his time is spent finding vertical market software companies that add value and market share to the Jonas portfolio. As part of the Jonas “buy and hold forever” strategy, Scott believes that building great companies for the long term is the ultimate goal and that creating a platform for success comes from continual investment in your customers and employees.
