Deanna Surman

Head of Human Resources | Jonas Group UK & Europe

Deanna is Head of Human Resources for the Jonas UK and European division and joined Jonas when the group acquired UK AIM, listed as Gladstone PLC, in 2010. Deanna works closely with the leadership team to provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance at all levels, and in all areas of people management, performance, and culture whilst contributing to our business units’ collective success. Although Deanna has held a variety of roles across the full spectrum of Human Resources gained in various industries, she has a strong passion to enable a culture of continuous learning and development through programmes such as our highly acclaimed Jonas Talent Development Programme that empowers our employees to learn and grow, and our business to constantly evolve and develop. Deanna is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Kevin Morgan

Group Leader | Jonas UK & Europe

Kevin’s early career saw him specialise in cross-border tech audits with RSM, living and working both here in the UK and in the USA. As a qualified accountant, Kevin first engaged with the Constellation group as the audit manager in 2008, for one of the first Constellation UK acquisitions, Trapeze Software. When Jonas then entered the UK with the desire to build out a UK finance shared services team, Kevin joined in the early days (2012) to help shape and build the team. By the time Kevin moved into an operational role in 2016, the finance team had grown to over 25 people and integrated almost twenty acquisitions.Kevin’s first move into operational management was as General Manager and then Managing Director of London & Zurich, a Bacs specialist provider of Direct Debit services. From there his estate grew as he developed his software experience and skills, adding brands like PCI Systems, Havenstar and Paygate.Today, Kevin’s portfolio is made up of eight brands across three territories (UK, USA and Sweden) and his role combines two core aspects. First is the support, mentoring and best practice sharing for the business leaders running the respective brands day to day, and second is the sourcing, diligence and integration of new additions to the growing portfolio. This aspect has a particular focus for Kevin as, supported by a dedicated Nordic M&A team, he is responsible for the strategic growth of the Nordic region of the Jonas group.Kevin is always keen to encourage and embrace change, truly believing that “the only constant in our business is change”.

Tom Withers

Group Leader | Jonas UK & Europe

Tom joined Jonas in 2010 as a Sales Manager, when Gladstone Software became the first UK acquisition. Harnessing the opportunities that being part of Jonas created, Tom progressed to Managing Director of Gladstone, before moving on to Group Leader, where he now works with the founders and leaders to drive the performance of multiple companies within the group.With over 20 years’ experience in supplying software into the sports and leisure sector, Tom became a strong advocate for using software as an enabler to get more people active, in turn increasing the value of the sector as a whole. He remains an active member of the Open Active Steering Committee and the UKActive Digital Futures project, continuing to help shape, influence and drive the digitalisation of the sports and leisure sector. As a Group Leader within Jonas, Tom works with founders and leaders of businesses of varying sizes across multiple sectors. Tom combines this with his experience running great software businesses to support skilled business leaders to identify and deliver on growth opportunities, where great software can enhance the sectors they serve. A particular highlight for Tom is working with new companies joining the group; taking successful brands and passionate employees and working with them to elevate their future both individually and as businesses.

A results-driven, overachiever with a circa of 8 years’ worth of experience, working predominately with a range of commercial clients from SME to Enterprise. Sam strives to use his extensive experience in Strategic Planning, Leadership, Business Development, Enterprise Level Account Management, and now Merges and Acquisitions, to support companies taking their next step in their business lifecycle. Bridging the gap between vendor and acquirer to ensure a smooth process and transition into the Jonas Family. With our decentralised model, refined software playbook and our "Buy and Hold Forever" strategy, we will not only equip you with the tools you need to thrive in your vertical but empower you to step out of the confines of day to day rigmarole to dive into and explore your endless potential.

Conor Dolphin

Legal Counsel | UK & Europe

Conor joined Jonas in 2020, having spent the previous nine years working in the Dublin and San Francisco offices of the corporate law firm, A&L Goodbody. During this time he advised on a broad range of corporate transactions, including private and public M&A, joint ventures and capital markets transactions. As Legal Counsel for Jonas UK and Europe, Conor now works alongside the Jonas M&A team to lead the legal negotiations on all new acquisitions within this region. The rest of his time is spent supporting businesses within the Jonas portfolio, providing strategic advice on all legal issues, from commercial contracts and software licensing to managing litigation, financial regulation and data protection. Conor is an English and Irish qualified solicitor and holds a BA (Law and Accounting) from the University of Limerick and a Master of Laws (Commercial Law) from University College Dublin.

Darrell Boxall

Group CEO UK & Europe

Darrell joined Jonas in 2010, as part of the early stage growth plan for Jonas UK, via acquisition of the Xn Leisure brand where he was already in place as Managing Director. Taking on more responsibility as the estate grew, Darrell worked through the ranks as Group Leader, Portfolio Manager and in 2022 became Group CEO for Jonas UK & Europe, with a Nordic territory focus. Darrell has a long history in the software industry spanning two decades, having served as a director of many businesses, both large and small. Darrell has always had an affinity for sales process and management, using that drive and focus on consistency & metrics as a foundation for his career. Darrell’s portfolio includes an eclectic mix of software brands in various sectors to include: Leisure, Metals, Police forensics, Direct Debit payments, Central Government systems, Auction and Marinas. Darrell is known for his passion and investment in his employees and promoting from within wherever possible with a team ethos of “We’re in IT together: We win together, we fail together, learning as we grow."
